Playtime rocks with Automoblox!

We all know someone who is obsessed with cars, whether it’s the husband who drools over certain sports cars, or the child who creates worlds of drama and speed while playing with any toy car that happens to be on hand. Here at Kindervibe, we definitely have such “vehicle enthusiasts” in our lives, so we know a great toy car when we see it. That’s why when we were introduced to the award-winning Automoblox, we knew right away we had a found a winner!

The cool car vibe

Automoblox are a series of cool toy cars (and trucks) for kids aged three to nine that are made of German beech wood. They are available in various models, from sports cars to minivans. They are all incredibly well made, totally smooth, and so solid they are virtually indestructible. However, the highlight of Automoblox is that the parts of the various models are all interchangeable with each other, so children can actually build their own custom cars by using the various components of their particular Automoblox vehicles. With as few as three Automoblox in their fleet, a child can literally create hundreds of different vehicles. Automoblox cars come in two sizes: the original full-sized models, which are more substantial, have more parts, and come with passengers, and the Automoblox Minis, which are a scaled-down and pocket-sized version of their larger counterparts.

Why we like it

First of all, we love that Automoblox are more than just a good time. Although kids are sure to love playing with these wheels, there are also certain learning benefits that come from playing with Automoblox. Some of these benefits include: imagination boosting, creative problem solving, fine motor skill development, and visio-spatial processing. We also like that Automoblox will actually grow with your child, as it’s not uncommon for a child who received their Automoblox as a preschooler to still be playing with them when they are eight or nine years old. What a great investment for your child’s toybox!

Finally, we love that Automoblox have the environment in mind when they are manufactured as they are made using the wood of beech trees grown in Germany, where for every one tree used, three more are always planted. Just another reason we think playtime rocks with Automoblox!

Automoblox retails for approximately $40 (or $10 for the Minis), and are available at online retailers Green Planet Parties, as well as Lavish and Lime. In the Lower Mainland, you can find Automoblox at Pedagogy Toys in New Westminster, or Modern Kid in Vancouver. In Alberta, you can find them at Princess and the Pea in Edmonton.
