Fashion Fruit Kids

When looking for clothes for our children, we strive to find unique, good quality, and ethically made clothes that are healthy for our children and the world we live in. Well, we have finally found what we're looking for thanks to a local mom.

For little fashion fruits

Run by Vancouver-mom and physician Larissa Roux, Fashion Fruit Kids is an online store that carries organic clothing for children and babies from newborn to eight years. Larissa visits South Africa with her young daughter, and works in local communities on violence prevention and health promotion projects. She says she not only fell in love with the country but with the clothes. "The craftsmanship, the nature-inspired detailing, the workforce employed to craft the garments, all fell within our sense of beautiful quality." Lucky for us, these clothes are now available through Fashion Fruit Kids. The organic clothes are made in South Africa in socially responsible facilities that employ people, many of whom are single moms, from local communities.

Why we like it

Finding unique, fashionable clothes for older kids can be a tricky task, especially when we try not to shop at the bigger chains and opt to support local, small businesses.

We recently received a couple of outfits for our little kindervibe product testers and we were in awe. We love the fun and fashionable clothes. They are excellent quality and have already stood the test of copious washes in the washing machine.

Our picky fashionistas also like the clothes and the pickiest of the product testers wore her outfit for a few consecutive days.

To our liking, the clothes are unique, vibrant, organic and nature-inspired, and are available in great styles for both girls and boys. And to our children's liking, they can play all day outside wearing their fun comfortable clothes.

By buying clothes from Fashion Fruit Kids, it's good to know that we are supporting single moms who are able to work for a fair wage in a safe and happy environment and in turn can support their own children.
